Welcome to my Scentsy page! I am thrilled you stopped by and hope you find some life and scent inspiration, so that maybe, just maybe, you will want to join me on this journey!
My Scentsy journey unofficially started in college when I met my suite-mate and now Superstar Director, Christina Stainbrook. It is amazing to me how God will put people in your life at just the right moment, even when you do not or cannot see why, and Christina is one of those people for me.
After college, we parted ways while staying friends on Facebook and Instagram. My career took me into health care education and then book publishing, until 2010 when I felt God nudging me to change career paths, but that path would not become clear for a few more months.
In the meantime, I applied to a sales tax and use company where low and behold, guess who also worked there: Christina! It was really great to catch up with an old friend and a familiar face, especially when starting a new job. However, it was about the same time when I finally figured out what I wanted to do when I grew up: become a teacher.
So in the summer of 2010, just a couple months after starting to work with Christina, I quit my job to return to school full-time. Crazy, I know! But, it was one of the best decisions of my life!! Becoming a teacher has allowed me to teach high school and middle school science classes in three states (Indiana, New Jersey, and Virginia) and work at a really cool museum in NYC called Liberty Science Center where I trained teacher candidates in how to incorporate technology into their classrooms.
Fast forward to now, we relocated to Coastal Alabama where I have been able to explore another dream of mine, becoming a nurse. Not wanting to accrue more debt, my husband and I started discussing ways I could offset school expenses and the idea of becoming an Independent Consultant kept popping up in our conversations becoming too obvious to ignore.
[Insert God lovingly nudging me here]
On a quick trip back to visit my parents, I was driving around my old stomping grounds when I felt the overwhelming urge to text Christina about becoming a consultant. I have watched her journey unfold on Instagram including the many blessings Scentsy offers, and each time she popped up on my feed I could not ignore the feeling that I could do this, too. While pulling into a parking spot outside TJMaxx with the intention of my next action to be texting Christina, guess who texted me: Christina! I am not kidding, like really not kidding. SHE TEXTED ME BEFORE I COULD EVEN TEXT HER! How could I ignore that blinking neon sign from God that this was meant to be?
And with that, here I am! I cannot wait to see where this journey takes me. Want to join me?
Thanks for stopping by!
